چکیده
ABSTRACT This paper provides analyses of the emission beam structure 76 ‘B’-named pulsars within Arecibo sky. Most these objects are included in both Gould & Lyne and LOFAR High Band surveys thus complement our other works treating various parts populations. These comprise a further group mostly well-studied sky that we here treat similarly to those Olszanski et al. – extend overall efforts study all surveys. Arecibo and the ALFA Pulsar Survey
The recently started Arecibo L-band Feed Array (ALFA) pulsar survey aims to find ∼ 1000 new pulsars. Due to its high time and frequency resolution the survey is especially sensitive to millisecond pulsars, which have the potential to test gravitational theories, detect gravitational waves and probe the neutron-star equation of state. Here we report the results of our preliminary analysis: in th...
متن کاملThe Arecibo 430-MHz Intermediate Galactic Latitude Survey: Discovery of Nine Radio Pulsars
We have used the Arecibo Radio Telescope to search for millisecond pulsars in two intermediate Galactic latitude regions (7 < |b| < 20) accessible to this telescope. For these latitudes the useful millisecond pulsar search volume achieved by Arecibo’s 430-MHz beam is predicted to be maximal. Searching a total of 130 square degrees, we have discovered nine new pulsars and detected four previousl...
متن کاملRadiant measurement accuracy of micrometeors detected by the Arecibo 430 MHz Dual-Beam Radar
Precise knowledge of the angle between the meteor vector velocity and the radar beam axis is one of the largest source of errors in the Arecibo Observatory (AO) micrometeor observations. In this paper we study ∼250 high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) meteor head-echoes obtained using the dual-beam 430 MHz AO Radar in Puerto Rico, in order to reveal the distribution of this angle. All of these mete...
متن کاملArecibo 430 MHz Pulsar Polarimetry: Faraday Rotation Measures and Morphological Classifications
We have measured Faraday Rotation Measures (RM) at Arecibo Observatory for 36 pulsars, 17 of them new. We combine these and earlier measurements to study the galactic magnetic field and its possible temporal variations. Many RM values have changed significantly on several–year timescales, but these variations probably do not reflect interstellar magnetic field changes. By studying the distribut...

With the technological growth of broadband wireless technology like CDMA and UWB , a lots of development efforts towards wireless communication system and Imaging radar system are well justified. Efforts are also being imparted towards a Convergence Technology.. the convergence between a communication and radar technology which will result in ITS ( Intelligent Transport System ) and other appli...
